LOOKING FOR AN ELECTRICAL ENGINEERING MAJOR 1-5 YEARS EXPEREINCE
The Associate Engineering Manager, (AEM) is a pragmatic and goal-oriented. The AEM is responsible for successfully executing the product development tasks assigned by the President and/or Product Planning Committee as it relates to approved lighting projects. The AEM also informs the President:
- If they uncover additional unanticipated tasks necessary for the successful completion of a project.
- When/if approved project tasks cannot be completed for economic or technical reasons.
The AEM reports to the President, and is assisted by the Marketing Consultant and the Electrical Engineering Consultant on an “as needed” basis.
- Executes the specific tasks assigned per above. This includes, but is not limited to:
- Coordinating the project-related tasks with other departments / individuals as required to help ensure that the project’s elements are completed as expeditiously as possible.
- Assigning firm due dates to AC suppliers, sales personnel, etc., for performance
- Following up to ensure that due dates are met.

- · Follows the product priorities that have been assigned:
- · Reports to the President if reasons exist which may affect the project priorities, such as supplier non-performance, missing information, etc.
- · Informs the President of all potential bottlenecks and impediments.
- · Monitors and maintains an accurate, ongoing record of all submitted New Product Forms.
- · Reviews the forms for accuracy and completeness.
- · Informs relevant personnel of missing or incomplete information
- § Development and completion of the form is the responsivity of the Sales Department
- · Reviews the completed forms for technical feasibility
- · Prepares recommendations, points out potential issues, opportunities for each product as it relates to technical issues.
- · Presents completed New Product Forms to the President, with recommendations.

- · Design New LED module projects based on New Product Forms.
- · Test and evaluate New products to their specifications, record and report results
- · The AEM reports weekly to the President on the status of all priority projects. This includes new product forms which have not been issued/completed, or if additional information is required to continue working on a project
- · Assists in the development of approved new Driver, Power Supply and/or modules according to the directions provided by the President and withing the specifications on the appropriate New Product Development Forms.
- Finds new sources of supply to complete assigned projects and obtain specifications and samples as needed.
- Coordinate UL or ETL approach and cost to new products or product extensions.
- As appropriate for the circumstances, delegates testing tasks to (QC Engineer), including but not limited to testing, trouble-shooting, quality control, etc. to others who have the appropriate skill set.
- Sets procedures.
- Assigns firm due dates.
- Provides management direction as needed.
- Reviews these test results as needed.
- Keep up-to-date on technological improvement and events that may be relevant to products and markets.
- As appropriate for the circumstances, delegates testing tasks to (QC Engineer), including but not limited to testing, trouble-shooting, quality control, etc. to others who have the appropriate skill set.
- In conjunction with Antron and other suppliers/sources:
- Obtain all necessary specifications for new products.
- Review and send to spec and installation coordinator on what to get done.
- Follow up on UL/ETL with suppliers on status
- Update and maintain all product bills of materials and costs.
- Provide this information to Materials Control.
- Inform all relevant personnel of technical product changes.
