Responsibilities:
Seeking a talented Electrical Engineer for Operations facility. The incumbent will provide engineering support to maintenance and operations. The successful incumbent will support safety, restoring product flow, providing technical solutions to recurring design and process problems, analyze equipment and process data to identify opportunities for improvement, and develop solutions and system improvements to address those opportunities. This person will also develop, manage, and implement capital projects, major repairs and maintenance projects and provide some process engineering support.
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited institution.
- Minimum of 3 years' experience in an electrical engineering role.
- Working knowledge of manufacturing processes and principles with a minimum of 3 years' experience in the field.
Preferred Qualifications:
- 5 years of experience in electrical systems and manufacturing processes.
- Expertise in high-voltage electrical equipment and component engineering, including design, application specification, maintenance, and failure analysis.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD or similar CAD software.
- Proven experience estimating, justifying, managing, and installing capital projects.
- Experience designing, installing, troubleshooting, and maintaining industrial electrical power and control systems, including transformers, switchgear, transmission lines, substations, breakers, and relays.
- Knowledge of electrical engineering standards, safety protocols, and related codes.
- Strong background in electrical engineering, maintenance, and reliability.
- Familiarity with world-class manufacturing techniques, such as lean manufacturing, JIT, SPC, and TQM.
- Exceptional written and oral communication skills.
- Strong problem-solving and creative thinking abilities.
- Proven ability to justify, manage, and execute capital projects.
- Experience in leading and implementing electrical projects, from design to commissioning.
- Oversight of craft personnel involved in implementing engineered solutions and maintenance activities.
- Ability to engage in ongoing dialogue with personnel to address issues, clarify requirements, and promote safe work practices.
- Experience managing external vendors providing electrical design and support services.
- Demonstrated success working within a team and with cross-functional teams.
