Job Description:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and skilled Electrical Drafter to join our team. As an Electrical Drafter, you will be responsible for creating detailed technical drawings and plans for electrical systems, ensuring accuracy, compliance with industry standards, and adherence to project requirements. You will collaborate closely with engineers and other team members to translate design specifications into comprehensive drawings that guide the construction and implementation of electrical systems.
Responsibilities:
Utilize computer-aided design (CAD) software to create precise drawings, schematics, and diagrams for electrical systems.
Interpret engineering sketches, blueprints, and technical documents to understand project requirements and objectives.
Develop wiring diagrams, panel layouts, and other technical drawings that illustrate the layout and connections of electrical components.
Ensure that all drawings and plans comply with relevant industry standards, building codes, and electrical regulations.
Collaborate with electrical engineers and project managers to incorporate design changes, resolve technical issues, and ensure project success.
Maintain accurate records of design revisions and updates, documenting changes for future reference and compliance purposes.
Review drawings for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with project specifications before finalizing designs.
Assist in project coordination by providing technical support, clarifications, and guidance to other departments or external stakeholders as needed.
Stay updated on advancements in CAD software and electrical design techniques to enhance drafting efficiency and effectiveness.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Electrical Engineering, Drafting, or a related field.
Proven experience as an Electrical Drafter or similar role in electrical design and drafting.
Proficiency in computer-aided design (CAD) software, such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks Electrical, or similar tools.
Strong understanding of electrical principles, codes, and regulations.
Excellent attention to detail and ability to produce accurate technical drawings.
Effective communication skills and ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams.
Ability to prioritize tasks, manage workload efficiently, and meet deadlines.
Continuous learning mindset and willingness to stay updated on industry trends and technology advancements.
