Electrical Designer - Charlotte Mechanical

CM Engineering is a growing Consulting Engineering firm located in Charlotte, NC. We are currently seeking a talented Electrical Designer. As an organization we are fully committed to sustainable design.

We are seeking a designer with consulting engineering experience that will be responsible for schematic design through construction administration for offices, retail, condominiums, industrial and multifamily residential projects.

Summary: Performs engineering assignments with clear and specified objectives and involves conventional types of plans and specifications. Work is reviewed by Project Managers for the application of sound professional judgment.

Requirements

• 2+ years of experience in power, lighting, fire alarm, data and telecommunication building systems design.
• Electrical Power Distribution Circuiting Design
• Lighting and Lighting Controls Design
• Emergency Systems Design
• Fire Alarm System Design
• Power Distributions Systems Design

• Knowledge of Revit is a plus and strong Auto Cad skills including ACAD is required.
• Excellent report writing ability.
• Proficient in Microsoft software, particularly Excel including Word, Outlook.
• Multi- family and commercial power and lighting design knowledge a plus

Work tasks will also include conducting energy audits, developing energy efficiency improvements, identifying renewable energy and conservation projects, Utility Incentive Submissions for ECM’s, etc.

Qualifications:

• BS in Electrical Engineering preferred

• Electrical Design: 2 years (Preferred)
