Electrical Design Engineer - Aquinas Consulting

Aquinas Consulting is currently looking to fill an Electrical Design Engineer job for our direct client. In this role, you will focus on designing and verifying next-generation high-reliability undersea and terminal-based network elements. You will work alongside a multidisciplinary team to design, prototype, and qualify circuit boards for high-reliability systems.

Electrical Design Engineer job Responsibilities:

• Contribute to new circuit designs and schematics, selecting suitable components and maintaining component libraries.
• Collaborate with PCBA designers to create design files and participate in design reviews.
• Plan, document, and execute design verification testing for new products.
• Lead hands-on experimental work on prototypes, components, and assemblies.
• Develop GUI-based test software tools for circuit board and component testing.
• Deliver factory testing requirements and support early factory testing efforts.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering (BSEE) preferred.
• Strong interest in electrical design, analytical problem-solving, and working with circuit board prototypes.
• Experience in designing and testing analog and digital circuits, including op-amp and transistor circuits for signals <1GHz.
• Familiarity with PCB design tools, fabrication processes, and component selection for reliability.
• Experience with circuit test instruments, data analysis, and experimental troubleshooting.
• Proficiency in tools such as OrCad, Labview, Spice/Pspice, and programming in C/C++ or Python.
• Excellent communication and technical writing skills.
