Overview
Our client will be hire a full time PLC Technician to join their team in Wilsonville, OR.
We need someone experienced in electrical control troubleshooting. Also, knowledge of hydraulics and/or pneumatics is preferred.
This position will perform new equipment builds including programming PLC & Ladder Logic and fabrication. Expect to help with troubleshooting and resolution of production problems. (Quality, machine, and cycle time issues). You'll work with one other PLC Technician and report to the Maintenance Facilities Manager.
Work schedule: Tuesday through Friday 7:00am-5:30pm or Tuesday through Saturday 7:00am-3:30pm (flexible).

Responsibilities:
- Troubleshoot and Repair automated and non-automated equipment as needed. (Adjusting settings, replacing cutters etc.)
- Perform new equipment builds as directed (Light fabrication, software installs, wiring, ladder logic programming, etc.)
- Project-based work, help out as needed. PLC programming, integrating robots, CNC programming, knowledge of pneumatics.
- Support the maintenance systems and perform activities as needed. (PM's)
- Work with process engineering to troubleshoot, repair machine failures and optimize processes 5%
- Collect and enter data as needed to support procedures and engineering tests.
- Train employees on using technical equipment, including automation on new machine builds. 5%
- Perform other duties as required. (Ordering supplies etc.) 5%
- Interact with employees in a positive manner. 5%
Qualifications
- 1 year of experience as an Automation Technician or similar role.
- PLC or HMI programming and computer controls.
- Electrical control troubleshooting.
- High level of mechanical aptitude and fabrication skills
- Experience with hydraulics and mechanical preventative maintenance
Preferred:
- CNC programming
- Pneumatics knowledge - circuitry and troubleshooting
- Electrical Engineering degree
- Ability to read blueprints and understand GD&T is preferred
- Training in mechanics and electronics preferred
- PC skills including email, MS Office, Word, Excel
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
- Ability to lift 25lbs on a consistent basis.
