Electrical Control Engineer at Advantage Technical

• The ideal candidate will be familiar with electrical design, schematics (AutoCAD Electrical), and PLC systems (AB CompactLogix).
• You will work closely with the engineering team to support the production of the SMA wire. You should expect to review and apply industry standards for machine and panel safety, design schematics, wire sub-panels, wire components into enclosures, program PLC and HMI software, and create documentation for validation and proper use.
• Support lead engineers in the design and construction of the manufacturing machines used to produce SMA wire.
• Learn and apply proper machine and panel safety standards.
• Read machine schematics and properly wire the panel and machine using the correct insulation colors, wire gauges, and routing methods.
• Create documentation conforming to company standards to support the validation of the machines and fulfilling the required deliverables.
• Design and review schematics to check for correctness and be able to report and make updates.
• Design and review PLC and HMI software to check for correctness and be able to report and make updates.

Education and Experience (Minimum Requirements)

• BS in Electrical Engineering
• Ability to follow electrical schematics for manufacturing machines
• Familiar with AutoCAD Electrical software
• Familiar with PLCs (Allen-Bradley)
• Familiar with Microsoft 365 applications (Word, Excel, etc.)
