- Engineering, Sales, and Estimating
- Generate new sales/customers and maintain an existing customer base.
- Maintain and build relationships with clients by offering competitive and accurate bids and providing innovative solutions.
- Perform conceptual estimating and budgeting.
- Assist with electrical system design for design-build estimates/projects as needed.
- Read and interpret electrical construction drawings.
- Review project specifications to ensure bid compliance.
- Perform accurate quantity take-offs and utilize unit pricing to generate project estimates.
- Solicit quotations from subcontractors and suppliers.
- Compile take-offs and quotations to prepare accurate and timely estimates.
- Prepare and submit proposals to customers.
- Project Management
- Manage multiple electrical projects simultaneously.
- Review contracts to ensure compliance.
- Direct and monitor sold projects from start to completion.
- Oversee project material buyouts and purchasing.
- Meet with contractors and vendors to ensure quality products and timely deliveries.
- Monitor construction budgets by evaluating variances in expenditures vs. estimates and negotiating change orders.
- Create and process submittals, RFIs, change orders, billings, closeout documents, and other project-related tasks.
- Work with project management team members to oversee field crew installations and subcontractors on multiple projects.
- Provide support to foremen and field staff with project needs.
- Visit project sites to review work and ensure safe and on-time field installations.
- Experience/Education
- Prior experience with electrical estimating and/or project management (or technical training in the field of electrical construction).
- Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent trade/related experience.
- 5-10 years of experience in the electrical construction industry.
- Basic knowledge of construction accounting.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
- P.E. License or E.I.T. License is a plus but not required.
- AutoCAD experience is a plus but not required.
- Experience with the Electrical Bid Manager (EBM) estimating system is a plus but not required.

- Physically able to navigate and attend bid-walks and site visits at active construction sites.
- Clean criminal background and credit history.
- Must pass drug screening and background check (pre-employment and random).
