Role Overview:
As the Electrical Construction
Responsibilities:
- Generate concept construction cost estimates for EV Fast Charging projects to support Business Development efforts.
- Identify, evaluate and engage local contractors to perform site construction work by creating and managing RFP processes.
- Oversee the successful construction of shovel-ready EV Fast Charging projects (design and permitting phases by others). Support site acceptance testing / commissioning and handoff handoff to Operations.
- Role may encompass site acceptance testing / commissioning of some sites.
- Support the development of documentation and processes to formalize best practices within Electric Era’s Site Implementation organization.
- Review construction contracts and oversee the contract change process.
- Generate a construction schedule and review it regularly to ensure project on-time completion.
- Provide field supervision as required (depending on the competence of the engaged subcontractor) to maintain high quality and efficient progress.
- You will ultimately be responsible for the successful delivery of projects under your control, evaluated by safety, quality, budget and schedule.
- Ensure customer satisfaction. This will be reviewed based on repeat business and client references.
Qualifications:
- Electrical qualification (Journeyman electrician, Electrical Administrator, Electrical Engineer) or equivalent combination of technical training and/or related experience.
- 2+ years of experience as an Electrical project manager on projects involving civil and electrical construction is required.
- Experience with distributed energy projects (Battery, Generator, Solar, EV Charging, etc.) is preferred.
- Strong administrative skills.
- Experience with Office suite, Bluebeam Revu and Project Management software (or equivalent) is preferred.
Team: You will work with a team of Engineers, Project Managers and other construction professionals and report to the VP, Site Implementation and Operations.
Work Location: This is an on-site role located at our Seattle, WA headquarters, with 20-30% travel anticipated initially, increasing to 30-40% as project volume increases.
