Electrical Apprentice

Cannon Companies is looking for a qualified applicant to join our team as an Electrical Apprentice under the supervision of a Journeyman Electrician. This position is temporary & job specific for a duration of about 6 months with the possibility of extending.

Essential Requirements:

1. At least 1+ year experience working in the Telecommunication or Electrical Industry
2. Have a valid Electrical Apprentice Training card
3. High School diploma or GED certificate
4. Completion of electrician training program preferred or ability to join our Apprenticeship school
5. Knowledge of NEC electrical codes
6. Eagerness to learn electrical schematics and blueprint reading skills
7. Comfortable communicating with others
8. Motivated to learn and able to adapt to changes when needed
9. Have a current valid Driver's License
10. Be able to pass a pre-employment Drug Screening and Criminal Background Check
11. This role is a Safety Sensitive position and requires Military Base Access

Primary Responsibilities:

1. Perform all duties according to prescribed safety procedures and use appropriate safety equipment.
2. Assist a Journeyman electrician and follow instructions
3. Prepare and clean work areas
4. Carry and deliver materials
5. Install, repair, and maintain various electrical wiring systems and equipment
6. Use measuring equipment and hand tools to perform conduit work
7. Follow safety codes and building regulations
8. Maintain good standing in Apprenticeship school with passing grades if not yet completed
