Electric Safety and Training Coordinator:
Perform intermediate professional and administrative work coordinating annual, safety OSHA compliance training and certifications in the Lineman Career Development Program.
Work is performed under the general supervision of the Electric Operations Manager.
Plan, recommend, develop, schedule and implement safety programs for training of electric division employees. Ensures OSHA and safety compliance standards; performs crew inspections and audits; coordinates the Lineman Career Development Program; conducts monthly safety meetings; prepares and maintains safety reports and records; serves as an active participant on the Energy Services Safety Council.
Thorough knowledge of the practices, methods, equipment, materials and tools used in the construction and maintenance of electrical distribution and transmission systems; thorough knowledge of the occupational hazards connected with electrical transmission and distribution duties and the safety precautions required; considerable knowledge of the principles of electricity; ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with associates and the public; excellent presentation and interpersonal communications skills with the ability to relate well with line workers in the field as well as in the classroom. Proficiency with computer applications such as Microsoft Office Suite and other programs as required.
Any combination of education and experience equivalent to graduation from high school and a minimum of seven years of work experience in electric distribution line construction and maintenance. Possession of an appropriate commercial driver's license valid in the State of residence. CPR and basic first aid certification required. Completion of the Lineman Career Development Program Levels 1-4 and possession of a Journeyman Lineman certification or equivalent.
Salary range $64,896 – 108,160 annually.
