About the Job
DISTINGUISHING RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Ensure coordination of support and services with district and building level administrators.
- Plan and deliver appropriate professional development that is aligned with best practices.
- Guide outside consultants in providing Professional Development.
- Assess district’s needs through multiple data sources to make appropriate Professional Development suggestions.
- Provide information to assistant to schedule, invoice and receive payments for services.
- Plan and deliver online Professional Development courses.
- Plan and deliver Curriculum Professional Development, if appropriate.
- Maintain records of school and classroom support provided to LEAs.
- Participate in Professional Development activities.
- Attend State/Regional meetings, when applicable.
- Development and Delivery of School Improvement.
- Professional Instructional Development services.
- Interpret school and district level data to make curriculum recommendations.
- Schedule SCISC Professional Development offerings.
- Coordinate the South Suburban Curriculum Council.
- Other duties as assigned by the Executive Director.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Valid Teaching License.
- Two years of teaching experience.
- Administrative endorsement.
- Two or more years of administrative experience preferred.
- Proven experience with adult learners.
- Demonstrated evidence of experience in designing staff development opportunities related to local school improvement initiatives.
- Evidence of strong communication skills and public presentation skills.
