EI Occupational Therapist (947) - Seven Hills Foundation

Up to $5000 New Hire Sign-on Bonus

Rate of pay:  $72,800-$83,200 annually.

Provides service coordination activities when assigned and direct/indirect treatment to infants and toddlers. Participates in multidisciplinary evaluations as needed. Provides documentation of interventions consistent with Early Intervention Regulations.

Protects the rights and dignities of individuals with developmental disabilities and extend these rights and dignities to family members or guardians.

Upholds and complies with all safety programs and policies to maintain a safe work environment for employees, clients, family members and visitors.

Commits to organizational quality initiatives by participating in programs that will assure quality improvements and team processes.

Provides service coordination and primary therapy in center, community, and home based settings to achieve goals in all necessary areas.

Participates in arena style multidisciplinary evaluations, taking responsibility for assessing motor, sensory, regulatory, and fine motor development, and provides oral and written information to the child’s parents and other team members.

Provides individual short or long term direct occupational therapy treatment when indicated through consensus of the multidisciplinary team, including the parents, and written into the child’s IFSP.

Obtains consultation from other members of the team in areas outside own expertise, such as social work, cognition, speech development, etc., in order to fully address the needs of individual children on caseload.

Serves as classroom staff in developmental playgroups and provides leadership in toddler groups as directed.

Maintains licensure and professional knowledge through participation in professional organizations, conferences and in-services.

Documents all activities in accordance to own licensure regulations and requirements necessary for billing, agency policies, or Early Intervention regulations.

Bachelor’s Degree from an approved accredited Occupational Therapy program (Master’s Degree preferred); valid Rhode Island Occupational Therapy license required.

2-5 years experience providing treatment to infants and toddlers (birth to age three) in a family focused, home based setting; experience in the multidisciplinary provision of services; advanced knowledge in one or more special treatment areas, such as treatment of Pervasive Developmental Disorders/Autism, etc.

Must have valid driver’s license, safe driving record, automobile insurance and own vehicle to be used as directed and when needed for transportation.

Must have and maintain pediatric CPR certification
