EHS Specialist from Apidel Technologies

Position: Health, Safety & Environment Expert 1

Location: Norwood, OH 45212

Duration: 10 months contract with higher extension possibilities

Shift time: 1st Shift: (6 AM – 9 AM start time)

Pay rate: $35/hr. on W2 without benefits

Job Description:

Summary:

There is a backlog of work that needs to be caught up on. Seeking an experienced EHS person who can jump in and hit the ground running. Can use any specialty: Industrial hygiene, ISO Programs, Hazard analysis, etc.

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Collaborating with site management and employees on key initiatives to meet compliance to corporate environmental, health, and safety standards.
• Collaborating with site management and employees with Risk Assessments and ensuring needed Risk Assessments are completed including HazOp, PHA, and OPHR activities.
• Collaborating with site management and employees on key initiatives to meet ISO14001 and ISO45001 environmental, health, and safety standards.
• Knowledge of Industrial Hygiene principles
• Excellent interpersonal and oral communication skills. Self-directed with strong background in developing SOP’s. Strong negotiation skills a plus.
• Interacting routinely with site management, supervision, and personnel on EHS related matters.
• Work on special projects to address gaps in EHS programs.

Physical Attributes:

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Process Safety OR 2-5 years of EHS related experience in the chemical, specialty chemical and/or pharmaceutical industry

Preferred qualifications:

• Certified Safety Professional
• Advanced knowledge of ISO14001, 45001 systems
• Industrial Hygiene knowledge
