If so, we have the perfect opportunity for you. We are currently seeking a dynamic, experienced, and dedicated Permanent EHS Manager to join our team. This role is integral to our commitment to safety, health, and environmental stewardship. The successful candidate will be responsible for the development, implementation, and maintenance of the company’s EHS programs. This position requires a minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role.
Responsibilities:
As an EHS Manager, your primary responsibilities will include:
1. Developing and implementing EHS programs and policies in accordance with local, state, and federal regulations.
2. Leading change management initiatives to improve EHS performance across the organization.
3. Conducting regular safety audits, inspections, and risk assessments to identify potential hazards and ensure compliance with safety standards.
4. Developing and delivering EHS training to employees at all levels of the organization.
5. Managing and maintaining EHS records and documentation to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
6. Leading investigations into incidents, accidents, and near-misses to identify root causes and implement corrective actions.
7. Collaborating with various departments to integrate EHS considerations into business decisions and strategies.
8. Planning and coordinating emergency response procedures for potential accidents, fires, and other emergencies.
9. Continually monitoring and analyzing EHS performance metrics to identify opportunities for improvement.
Qualifications:
The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications:
1. A minimum of 5 years of experience in an EHS role within the engineering industry.
2. Bachelor's degree in Environmental Health and Safety, Engineering, or related field.
3. Proven experience in change management, safety, and planning.
4. Comprehensive knowledge of EHS regulations and standards.
5. Excellent leadership and team management skills.
6. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
7. Ability to develop and deliver effective EHS training programs.
8. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
9. Certified Safety Professional (CSP) or Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH) is a plus.
10. Proficiency in using EHS management software and tools.
