We are looking for a talented EHS Manager to join our industry-leading Project Delivery and Construction team at our office located in Emeryville, California.
In this role, you will assist in maintaining compliance with EHS policies and regulations for engineering services, construction projects, and validation/compliance services. You will also visit client sites to audit and inspect project compliance. Assists in administrative compliance activities as directed.
Additional Responsibilities
- Assist construction project teams by supporting subcontractor qualifications, Safety Plan development, Safety plan implementation, project compliance inspections, and project EHS regulatory guidance.
- Research regulations and assist with construction site EHS compliance.
- Visit IPS work sites to assist in EHS compliance. Perform EHS compliance audits and inspections at IPS project sites. Record and report audit reports and assist with the implementation of corrective actions.
- Provide on-site EHS support for projects that require continuous oversight. May involve travel to project locations for several days to several weeks.
- Review and evaluate daily Job Safety Analysis developed by subcontractors.
- Assist with Safety metrics recording and reporting.
- Plan and attend meetings as requested and supportEHSdepartment administrative functions.
- Other duties as assigned.
The salary offered for this role is between $110,406 and $165,609 but actual salary offered is dependent on experience, skill set, and education.
Qualifications & Requirements:- Bachelor’s Degree in Safety, Engineering, or a related field.
- IOSH registered an advantage.
- 10-15 years of Safety and or Construction experience.
- Has knowledge and experience with construction safety topics, such as fall protection, trenching, and shoring, crane lifts, steel erection, hot work, confined space, emergency plans, etc.
- Strong knowledge of OSHA and other European safety regulations especially as they apply to construction.
- Analytical thinking, structured problem-solving skills, superior communication skills, team building, and strong work ethic.
- Ability to travel to client work sites.
- Travel expectation up to 50%.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in pharmaceutical Design/Build/Validate processes.
