DO YOU ALIGN WITH THESE KEY QUALIFICATIONS?
- Bachelor of Science degree in Safety, Environmental Engineering, or other relevant discipline; or associate degree in EHS
- A Certified Safety Professional (CSP) designation is desirable
- A minimum of 4 years’ EHS experience in a manufacturing environment
- Understanding of automotive plants and processes, manufacturing processes, trade terminology, and company products is a plus
- Must have implementation/certification ISO 14001 and OSHAS 18001 experience and working knowledge of ISO 9001, TS 16949
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications; experience with ADP and SAP preferred
- Strong understanding of HRIS Systems
- Understand OSHA and EPA compliance standards and regulations related to stormwater/wastewater, RCRA, PSM/RMP, Title V, CAA, CWA, Form R, Aire Emissions reporting, and other federal, state, and local laws
- Knowledge of OSHA, DOT, EPA, NFPA, and HAZWOPER requirements
- Successful track record of designing and managing employee safety, workers compensation, and drug testing programs
WHAT WILL YOUR SUCCESS LOOK LIKE?
As the EHS Leader/Assistant Manager, you will implement Manufacturing Methods and Safety at the manufacturing plant.
WHAT WILL YOU DO?
- Inspect the facility to identify safety, health, and environmental risks
- Schedule routine inspections, and implement training according to findings
- Develop, coordinate, implement, and maintain appropriate Health, Safety, Environmental, Industrial, and Process Safety Programs and necessary related training
- Audit, analyze, and collate EHS performance data and propose effective improvements
- Administer and manage the Workers' Compensation program
- Track compliance for the various Federal, State, and Local environmental requirements
- Perform facility inspections, surveys, and audits to identify environmental and occupational hazards
- Oversee all chemical and hazardous waste management, including transportation
