Salary: $60,000 - $70,000 per year

We are seeking a highly motivated EHS Consultant to join our dynamic team in Indiana. As an EHS Consultant, you will play a critical role in ensuring the health and safety of our employees and the environment. This is a permanent position with excellent growth opportunities and competitive compensation.

Responsibilities:
1. Develop and implement comprehensive health and safety programs in compliance with federal and national regulations.
2. Conduct regular audits and inspections to identify potential hazards and ensure compliance with safety protocols.
3. Provide expert guidance and support to management and employees on health and safety matters.
4. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement safety training programs.
5. Investigate accidents, incidents, and near misses to identify root causes and recommend corrective actions.
6. Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of safety programs and initiatives.
7. Stay up to date with industry trends and best practices in health and safety.
8. Liaise with regulatory agencies and ensure compliance with all permits and licenses.
9. Conduct risk assessments and develop mitigation strategies to minimize workplace hazards.
10. Provide support during emergency situations and participate in the development of emergency response plans.
Qualifications:
1. Bachelor’s degree in environmental, health and safety discipline or equivalent combination of education and directly related experience.
2. 0-2 years of experience in environmental and/or health and safety experience in an industrial environment
3. Strong understanding of health and safety protocols and permits, both federal and national.
4. Knowledge of environmental regulations and sustainability practices.
5. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with employees at all levels.
6. Proven ability to develop and implement health and safety programs.
7. Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
8. Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively.
9. Experience working in an industrial manufacturing environment is preferred.
10. Relevant certifications such as Certified Safety Professional (CSP) or Occupational Health and Safety Technician (OHST) are a plus.
