Responsibilities
Perform electroneurodiagnostic testing.
+ Perform set up and preparation of equipment/supplies for ordered test.
+ Review patient's history, obtain any necessary information or documentation and provide education to patient about procedures.
+ Monitor and document patient's condition at all times and report any adverse reactions.
+ Operate and maintain a variety of equipment to obtain diagnostic data, which may include EEG(Electroencephalography), EP (Evoked Potential), and PSG (Polysomnography) equipment.
+ Recognize and correct for artifacts.
+ Score/graph, document and report results of diagnostic procedures.
Requirements
Licensure / Certification / Registration:
+ BLS Provider preferred. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
+ Electroencephalographic Technician preferred.
+ Technologist specializing in Evoked Potential credentialed from the American Board of Registration of Electroencephalographic and Evoked Potential Technologists preferred.
+ Technologist specializing in Nerve Conduction Study credentialed from the American Board of Registration of Electroencephalographic and Evoked Potential Technologists preferred.
Education:
+ High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience OR Associate's degree/Technical degree OR 4 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.
