Overview:
The Advanced Regenerative Manufacturing Institute (ARMI) is a Member-based, non-profit organization headquartered in Manchester, New Hampshire whose mission is to advance the bioeconomy of the United States. Bringing together the disciplines of biochemistry, advanced manufacturing, medicine, and engineering, ARMI is advancing new regenerative therapies through cutting-edge manufacturing techniques while also building the biofabrication industry's workforce. As a part of this effort, ARMI is working to close the educational skills gaps in tissue engineering and organ manufacturing through accessible education and training opportunities. As such, ARMI is seeking an Education & Workforce Development (EWD) Intern to assist with the development of educational and workforce development project efforts and related activities.
Position Description
ARMI is working to build a progressive and inclusive talent pipeline to grow the biofabrication workforce at all levels and continues to develop educational resources and hands-on experiences for various audiences and age groups. The EWD Intern will assist with the development, delivery, and administrative aspects of education and workforce development programming, including but not limited to BioTrek, the Biofabrication Technician Registered Apprenticeship Program, the Advanced Manufacturing Technician Registered Apprenticeship Program.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct independent research on topics related to the biofabrication industry and assist in developing educational outreach materials, curricula, and activities designed by ARMI.
- Assist in gathering feedback from previous rounds of implementation to continuously improve curriculum components, workflows, tools, and documents that will enable smooth program delivery and team function.
- Assist in solving problems as they arise for partners to ensure they are motivated to continue engaging with ARMI.
- Assist with administrative tasks associated with the management of educational partners throughout the ecosystem.
- Other tasks as assigned.
Required Competencies:
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Experience working and collaborating with varying seniority levels, including staff, managers, and external partners.
- Strong interpersonal skills and experience working with team members and participating youth, either inside or outside of a classroom setting.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
- Demonstrated skills in building rapport and initiating new business opportunities.
