Education Leader Role
We pride ourselves on our excellent education. The Education Leader trains, coaches, and directs Learning Leaders to provide high-quality and consistent technical instruction in the classroom and on the clinic floor. This is a fast-paced, high-demand position requiring the candidate to wear many different "hats" in a busy, high-energy cosmetology school, including education specialist, technical expert, classroom coach, clinic floor coach, and team manager and career path advisor.
What We Are Looking For
The ideal candidate will have a strong cosmetology instructor background and the ability to manage revenue- and budget-driven school goals and responsibilities efficiently and professionally. He or she will use Paul Mitchell tools, technical skills, procedures, and current terminology to provide direction and solutions to the team and Future Professionals. The candidate must be self-motivated to foster a lifelong love for learning in students and other staff members, and is responsible for assessing educational needs and collaborating with Skill Specialists and Learning Leaders to create game plans for technical skill development, specialty content, curriculums, and lesson plans. This position requires passion, confidence, strong organizational and communications skills, a high level of commitment, and the ability to guide and motivate others.
Skills/Competencies Required:
- Experience instructing at a cosmetology school
- Current cosmetology, barbering, esthetic, or nail and instructor license
- Excellent organization, coaching, and communication skills
- Skills in supervision, teamwork, documentation, and return on investment
- Solid work history with verifiable references
- Passion for the beauty industry
- Honesty and professionalism
- Knowledge in Paul Mitchell Schools' cultural and technical systems is preferred
