Job Summary
CACS Head Start is now hiring a full time Education Assistant to join our team! The Education Assistant is a full time position, works all year and the rate of pay is $20.38 per hour. The Education Assistant assists the Education/Compliance Manager in implementing the Education component in the Head Start/Early Head Start Program and participates in the activities of the Education team.
Qualifications
Education:
High school diploma or the equivalent
Child Development Associate (CDA) certification or 12 semester hours of Child Development coursework (preferred)
Experience:
A minimum of one year of clerical experience
Experience in early childhood education preferred
Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word and Power Point
Experience typing, filing, recording, scanning, and copying
Position Duties/Responsibilities
Assists in developing and monitoring system of outcome measures to determine components effectiveness of services across the program
Disseminates necessary education information to staff as requested by the Education/Compliance Manager
Maintains knowledge of MI Registry and licensing rules to assistant and support classroom goals and requirements
Assists in monitoring for completion of classroom monitoring forms on a monthly basis.
Oversees, participates in, and documents multiple projects as assigned by Education/Compliance Manager
Establishes, maintains, and revises record-keeping and filing systems; classifies, sorts and files correspondence, records, and other documents
Maintains Education Toolkits, ensure staff informed of changes and updates
Assists in preparation of CLASS Observations and monitoring CLASS results
Utilizes program database to generates reports related to the education department
Participates in team and individual meetings regularly scheduled as indicated by Education/Compliance Manager and as needed, to ensure coordination of services across the program
Assists in preparation of Education Plan in collaboration with Education Manager, Curriculum Specialist, Partner Specialist and other managers, using data for annual grant requests
Assists in assuring that all Head Start locations maintain up to date licensing in all required areas
