About the Job
Primary Function
The Columbus Symphony Orchestra (CSO) is a non-profit arts organization seeking an Education Assistant to execute administrative, operational, and event production elements for Symphony Education Programs.
Position Information: The Education Assistant will be a full-time, non-exempt employee of the Columbus Symphony and CAPA. This position reports to the Director of Education.
Duties and Responsibilities:

Implement the creation, distribution, collection, tracking, and management of various education programs through invoicing and timely communication with appropriate stakeholders.

Serve as the first point of contact with teachers and schools about various education registration and programming details.

Maintain and update Education mailing lists and databases.

Support the creation of department resources including teacher toolkits, student study guides, and education online content.

Works with the Marketing, Academy Manager, and Education Coordinator to produce education-related content for the Columbus Symphony and Columbus Symphony Young Orchestra social media channels.

Update Education calendars and website information when needed.

Assist in documenting the impact, successes, and needs of education.
programming through reports, testimonials, photos, and assessment findings.

Assist at various CSO Education events.

Other duties as assigned.
Education, Skills, and Experience:

A bachelor’s degree in Music, Music Education, and/or experience.

Passion for serving the community through music education.

Ability to work well in a team, think creatively, and collaborate.

Must be well-organized with excellent time management skills.

Ability to drive and dependable transportation.
-
Knowledge of Microsoft Office suite and Canva is required.
