Role: eDiscovery Analyst
Location: 6565 Headquarters Dr., Plano, TX 75024
Hybrid: on-site at least twice a week
Duration: 6 months (potential to extend)
Job Summary:
- The team is primarily responsible for working with various Legal departments.
- Primary function of this candidate will be to perform eDiscovery process - identification, preservation, collection, data processing, and limited internal document review, on electronically stored information.
- The electronically stored information is the data/information which is stored on various company owned devices.
Job Description:
- The primary responsibility of this role is to support the company’s Legal department with the following phases of the eDiscovery process: identification, preservation, collection, data processing, and limited internal document review.
- The person in this role will provide hands-on technology support to fulfill complex legal and eDiscovery requests, assist in re-engineering eDiscovery workflows and processes to improve efficiency and uphold accuracy, and perform systems analyst responsibility to deliver technology projects and solutions in support of company’s Legal department.
- The analyst will work in a large, complex, and diverse enterprise technology ecosystem to identify, preserve, collect, analyze, export, and produce electronically stored information.
- The analyst must have a high attention to detail, be very adaptable, and have intellectual curiosity to learn and sometimes discover and/or create new technical tools and procedures.
- The analyst must also have experience working closely with internal resources, vendors, outside counsel, and in-house counsel. Finally, the analyst must have experience working in or with large and complex enterprise environments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Work with others to support the following phases of eDiscovery process: identification, preservation, collection, data processing, and limited internal document review
- Assist in re-engineering eDiscovery workflows and processes to improve efficiency and uphold accuracy
- Recommend and update documentation, training materials, and SOPs, with approval from legal department
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical challenges and provide timely and accurate response to legal department
- Provide system analyst expertise and contribution to deliver technology projects in support of legal department
- Possess proven ability to learn new technology quickly and share knowledge with others
Requirements:
Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in Computer Science or related discipline, or equivalent work experience
- 2 or more years of hands-on technical work experience in eDiscovery, digital forensics, and/or document review technologies
- 2 or more years of hands-on technical work experience in Microsoft O365, Google Workspace, and Slack eDiscovery
- 2 or more years of hands-on experience with EnCase, Cellebrite, Nuix, Magnet Forensics, ZL, Relativity, and other eDiscovery technology solutions
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to create and present concepts, influence, and persuade the business, and make recommendations to management
- Ability to handle multiple priorities, work independently, and meet stringent deadlines
- Experience working directly with a variety of technical and non-technical end users
- Understanding of the ESI lifecycle and related industry standards
Added bonus if you have
- Experience with PowerShell, Python, and other scripting languages
- One or more certifications related to eDiscovery or digital forensics (e.g., EnCE, GCFE, GASF, CEDS, and others)
- Automotive manufacturing/industry experience
Salary
35 - 40 /hour
