About the Role:

Job Title: EDI Test Engineer

Project Summary:

• We are seeking an experienced EDI Test Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) testing, including experience with EDI standards, protocols, and tools. The candidate should also have experience working in an Agile development environment.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and execute test plans, test cases, and test scripts for EDI systems.


• Perform functional, integration, and regression testing of EDI transactions.


• Work closely with developers, business analysts, and other stakeholders to ensure the quality of EDI implementations.


• Identify and report defects in EDI systems.


• Participate in Agile ceremonies, including stand-ups, sprint planning, and retrospectives.


• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot and resolve issues.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field


• 3+ years of experience in software testing, with a focus on EDI testing


• Strong understanding of EDI standards, such as ANSI X12 and EDIFACT


• Experience with EDI translation tools, such as Gentran, Sterling B2B Integrator, or similar


• Knowledge of healthcare EDI transactions, such as 837, 835, 270/271, etc., is a plus


• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills


• Strong communication and interpersonal skills


• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Location: Richardson, TX (3 days onsite a week)

Salary Range: The salary for this position is between $95,000 – $100,000 annually.  Factors which may affect pay within this range may include geography/market, skills, education, experience, and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
