Broken English Jewelry is seeking a full-time Ecommerce Manager to join our team at our offices in Los Angeles!
Objective
To ensure success, the retouch and ecommerce manager must display an excellent understanding of content management. Top candidates will be passionate about tech with an interest in jewelry. One must be comfortable troubleshooting the website and constantly improving the user experience of the website while providing the highest quality imagery. You will own online product merchandising, creative assets production, and execute product launch plans.
General Duties
- Planning, implementing, managing, monitoring, and upgrading the Broken English website.
- Own the entire Shopify backend including products, tagging, SEO, navigation, homepage, collections, merchandising, blog posts, etc.
- Manage and maintain website inventory to align with POS system while processing all price updates from designers.
- Upload all products to website and meet deadlines for new product/designer launches based on weekly mailers.
- Respond to and troubleshoot all website issues in conjunction with the development team and improve the user experience of the website regularly for quick resolutions.
- Assist in weekly mailers by merchandising products and including links.
- Assist with marketing by maintaining the content calendar, back-end organization, and monthly meetings with the marketing team to discuss upcoming strategies.
- Maintain the website blogs by updating and creating new content utilizing slight HTML.
- Pull correct sizing for all jewelry to add to the description during the upload process.
- Collaborate with all staff and management to ensure that website content aligns with brand strategy and meets Broken English standards.
- Ensure full compliance on the website with all laws and regulations.
- Keep up to date with industry best practices, emerging trends and monitor competitor websites.
- Utilize Adobe Photoshop to edit all product images.
- Edit all images by color corrections, cropping, image stacking, sharpening, masking (most done out of house), dust removal, metal editing, and diamond and stone editing.
- Properly resize and crop images for the website, editorial imagery, navigation, blog posts and correctly scale based on guidelines.
- Responsible for image requests from designers and resizing based on Broken English guidelines to create consistency on the website with in-house shot products.
- Manage timeline for image edits based on designers and launch dates.
- Lead bi-weekly meeting with web development team.
- Lead monthly marketing meeting to discuss analytics of web performance and ADs and relay information to CEO.
Additional Duties
- Creating Certificates of Authenticity for clients
- Coordinate with copy writer and come up with themes for weekly mailers.
- Design weekly mailer in Photoshop: curate images (adjust color balance/size as needed so the images as needed), export images in sizes for desktop and mobile versions and import to template in Klaviyo, design mailer ads for new arrivals for desktop and mobile versions (2 sizes). Export images in 2 different sizes: one for social media and one for mailer.
- Add titles, copy, & links and metadata. Then update google docs with all images, titles, linking URLs, images and link to mailer mockup.
Professional Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree, or equivalent combination of experience, training, and education.
- 3+ years of work experience as a website manager.
- Advanced experience with Shopify and Adobe Suite, primarily Photoshop.
- Experience with POS systems (Lightspeed preferred), Klayvio, Dropbox, and Google Drive.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects.
- Highly organized self-stater with fantastic time management skills to meet tight deadlines.
- Thrives in a fast-paced environment with ability to troubleshoot website issues.
- Ability to handle cross-team communication between photographers, copywriters, marketing, and development team.
- Minor understanding of HTML and CSS design.
- Experience in fine jewelry or luxury goods preferred.
Location
- In Office – Offices are based in the La Brea/Greater Wilshire neighborhood in Los Angeles, California. Must have the ability to commute to the office.
