Job Designation
Under direction of the Documentation Control Manager, this position is responsible for using CAD software to revise CAD models and drawings per approved Engineering redline changes.
Job Core Responsibilities
- Operate Creo Parametric and AutoCAD LT to revise and create 3D models (AutoCAD 2D only), assemblies, and drawings.
- Operate Windchill PDM to control/store the 3D CAD and utilize a protected server to control/store the 2D CAD.
- Log and maintain the drafting workload in an Excel workbook.
- Create relationships with ECN writers and take charge on gathering more details than a redline can provide as well as delivering feedback when drawing or redline errors are found.
- Potentially support Engineering with model and drawing creation during times of elevated project workload.
Job Specifications
Education
- Associate degree with mechanical drafting major OR 3+ years work experience that includes knowledge of ASME drawing standards.
Skills & Abilities
- Proficiency with Creo Parametric’s modeling, assembly, and drawing environments, (3+ years).
- Proficiency with AutoCAD LT model space and paper space (3+ years). Minimum AutoCAD LT 2010 preferred.
- Experience with Excel formulas and Excel graphs.
- Ability to communicate with engineering and manufacturing personnel and to seek out and gather information face-to-face, over the phone and via emails.
