Job Summary
Responsible for a variety of technical duties necessary to the acquisition of echocardiographic examinations and maintenance of the normal operation of the adult echocardiography laboratory.Job Duties
- Performs and processes echocardiographic examinations including two-dimensional, three dimensional, M-mode, Doppler, and special procedures and exercise techniques.
- Performs emergency procedures when necessary; transports equipment and patients.
- Assists with special procedures including transesophageal echocardiography, intraoperative echocardiography, pericardiocentesis, and contrast echocardiography.
- Analyzes and files echocardiographic data utilizing digital computer analysis systems.
- Assists in developing and maintaining internal training programs and in technical instruction of echocardiographic techniques.
- Assists in approved research activities.
- Performs mobile Echo service as directed.
- Interprets and follow policies and guidelines to define procedures and meet goals and deadlines.

*Relevant experience may be a combination of related work experience and formal training.(Graduation from an accredited training program in cardiac ultrasound = 2 years).

Graduate of Cardiac Ultrasound Training Program- (Required)
ARDMS or RCS Certification is required within 6 months of hire
