Echocardiographer Needed in Fort Wayne, IN
Our client, a major hospital organization in Northern Indiana, has a need for an Echocardiographer at their Fort Wayne, IN, location. Under the direction of the Director, the echocardiographer operates diagnostic ultrasound equipment and produces cardiac images according to policy/protocol. Position pays a highly competitive rate, offers generous benefits, and a highly attractive bonus. Relocation bonus also may be available.

- Do you have a minimum of an AS degree in a health care field?
- Have you successfully completed a cardiac ultrasound training program?
- Have you successfully completed a two-year Echocardiogram training program?
- Do you have a valid license in Cardiac Ultrasound from the ARDMS (American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonography)?
- Can you reliably commute to Fort Wayne, IN, on an on-site, full-time basis?
- What minimum hourly rate do you require for this position?
Hours:
- 7:30am – 4:00pm Monday – Friday
- Every 3rd of 4th weekend 7:30am – 7:00pm; 2 holidays/yr
- On call 1 night every 3rd weekend & 1 whole weekend every 12th week
Main Responsibilities:
- Examinations performed include: adult echocardiograms, stress echocardiograms, contrast echocardiograms, transesophageal echocardiograms and pediatric echocardiograms.
- Assures a high level of quality in all exams
- Provides the interpreting physician with all the necessary information in order to make an accurate diagnosis.
- Collaborates with other departments to provide procedures in a timely and efficient manner for all involved.
Education/Training Required:
- Associates of Science degree in health care field
- Successful completion of a cardiac ultrasound training program
- Successful completion of a two-year Echocardiogram training program
- Must have current CPR certification.
- A valid license in Cardiac Ultrasound from the ARDMS (American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonography)
- Ability and knowledge of imaging the various anatomical structures and differentiating artifacts
