Job Description:
This department has full-time, part-time, and on-call openings and is hiring for all three. Flexibility to match your scheduling needs along with an $10,000 hiring bonus.
The Echocardiograph Technologist performs cardiac ultrasound examinations according to physician's orders, utilizing a variety of complex ultrasound equipment. Objectively identifies the presence of or absence of disease utilizing a thorough knowledge of anatomy and physiology. Assists physicians with more invasive echocardiography examinations including, but not limited to, Transesophageal echocardiography, Trans-catheter echo guided procedures, pericardiocentesis, echo guided myocardial biopsies, contrast enhanced exams, exercise and pharmacological stress echocardiography. Has the ability to modify procedures, to meet special circumstances and/or provide clinically useful information on a cost-effective basis. Will comply with the standards set forth by the American Society of Echocardiography and departmental policies and procedures.
Required qualifications:
• Upon hire: Oregon Sonographer
• Upon hire: National Registered Cardiac Sonographer - Cardiovascular Credentialing International or
• National Advanced Cardiac Sonographer - Cardiovascular Credentialing International or National
• Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer from American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography
• Upon hire: National Provider BLS - American Heart Association.
Preferred qualifications:
• Associate's Degree in Applied Science, from a CAAHPE accredited school in Noninvasive Cardiovascular Technology, or Diagnostic Medical Sonography.
• 1 year of experience performing cardiovascular ultrasound examinations, or Minimum of 800 exams using all imaging modalities available.
• Pediatric echocardiography experience.
• Familiarity with imaging support of advanced heart failure patients (mechanical support devices).
• Experience with echo guided trans-catheter procedures.
