Location: near Mason City, Iowa

SUMMARY:
The Echo Sonographer performs the daily clinical operations and a wide variety of technical procedures including, but not limited to, adult and pediatric echo, stress echo, contrast imaging, agitated saline studies, and Holter analysis. Enters exam data into CPACs system, ensures completeness of exam, and prepares exam for interpretation. Adheres to National Patient Safety Goals as appropriate based on the level of patient contact this position requires.
SOME ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
Prefer a certified Ultrasonographer/Echocardiographer working in these positions. We encourage an Ultrasound Tech willing to train in Echo to apply. Hospital will assist with training/school for the Echo certification. You will not regret this opportunity.
This Ultrasound/Echo position is a FT @ 36 hours a week. No days/weekends/holidays or call.
The tech will be an integrative part of the Radiology team providing support in the department. This could be helping at the front desk or assistance with patients.
This position performs a variety of complex ultrasound procedures including pelvic, abdominal, small parts, and routine vascular exams. May also perform more complex imaging and on all age groups.
Once Echo certified you will perform echocardiograms and stress echos. Consensus with cardiologist will be needed.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Graduate of an AMA approved school of Radiologic Technology. Must hold current registration in Radiologic Technology from the ARRT. Must have the Iowa Permit to Practice.
Must hold a certification from ARDMS for abdomen, OB, vascular and breast.
If already working as an US/Echo Tech:
Echo Tech needs to be a graduate of a radiology or cardiovascular technology program with training in Cardiovascular Sonography required.
Prefer Echo Tech is certified as ARDMS in registered diagnostic sonography (RDCS), adult echocardiography, pediatric echocardiography, registered vascular technologist.

The range is between $29.36hr-$36.56, plus a full benefit package.
