We are proactively recruiting at this time for openings expected in the future for our Adjunct Pool. National College of Education at National Louis University seeks qualified professionals for adjunct teaching positions in Early Childhood.
Availability:
Starting Winter Term, January 2025 and beyond
- Ability to work on campus in Chicago and/or Wheeling during the day either Mondays and Wednesdays or Tuesdays and Thursdays
- Virtual/Online course assignments are very limited in nature.

You have an abiding interest in research and theory related to teaching and disability that informs your practice. You believe in the power of practitioner-research and will support our candidates as they become teachers who both draw on research to inform teaching and research their practice. You are a respectful collaborator who values your students' and colleagues' races, cultures, ways of knowing and being, opinions, perspectives, and experiences. You are deeply motivated by a desire to work in a learning community that aims for academic excellence through an affirmation of human diversity.
Qualifications:Skills:
- Passionate about working with a highly diverse student body.
- Excellent facilitation and classroom management skills.
- Agile and creative in pedagogy and student support. Prepared, yet flexible. Empathetic, yet structured.
- Ability to differentiate instruction and support based on student needs. Ability to consistently connect instruction to its real-world relevance, tying in concepts and theories in the classroom to students’ current and future work experiences and highlighting immediate applicability.
- Willing to pursue and support students in multiple modalities.
Technology proficient, including experience with digital tools for teaching, and teaching in either online or blended/hybrid formats.
Willing and able to use data to inform instruction. - Effective adult collaboration skills, able to work in teams to support student success.
- Experience using a learning management system. Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Experienced educators who EXPECT and DESIRE to grow pedagogically.
Qualifications:
- Master's degree or above in one of the following concentrations: Curriculum & Instruction, Early Childhood, Reading & Early Literacy, Early Childhood Administration, Childhood Development.
- Minimum 5 years professional experience.
