Principal Responsibilities:J Los Angeles is looking for energetic, open-minded assistant teachers to help foster curiosity, exploration, and respect with young children. Candidates should love working with children and believe that preschoolers are competent individuals worthy of a loving, engaging environment. Responsibilities and Duties:
Interacting and connecting with children, families, and J Los Angeles partners in ways that support strong relationships, respect, and collaboration.
Working in a team to maintain a healthy, safe, and engaging classroom environment, develop curriculum and care for a group of 12-18 preschoolers.
Supporting a rich play-based curriculum based in Judaic values and traditions and a strong view of children as learners and thinkers.
Approaching conflicts as opportunities to learn and coaching children to be problem solvers.
Minimum Qualifications:A minimum of 12 ECE units
At least 1 year of experience working with young children in a school or center setting
Excellent communication skills
Willingness to work collaboratively and problem solve
Ability to be self-directed, manage time and complete projects
Open to learning, ability to self-reflect regularly Able to meet the physical demands of the position (i.e., care for active young children, repetitive bending and lifting)
Current pediatric CPR/First Aid certification (Must be willing to obtain)
Salary:$35,000 - $45,000
