E-Billing & Collections Specialist - R.L. Barclay & Associates

About the Job
Our client, a growing Houston area law firm, has a new opportunity available for an experienced E-Billing & Collections Specialist to manage all aspects of e-billing and collections for the firm.
DUTIES
• Perform monthly submission of client invoices via various e-billing services
• Identify and resolve any issues that arise during the submission process
• Track status of submitted invoices and follow up on any unexpected delays
• Submit appeals for declined charges
• Coordinate with attorneys, clients, etc. for resolution and maintenance tasks associated with client e-billing requirements
• Respond to attorney and client inquiries timely
• Submit third-party invoices to e-billers as needed
• Provide status reports to billing attorneys, controller, etc. as requested
• Confirm invoice status in Surepoint Technologies is consistent with status as reported on billing portal
• Pull expense backup to accompany invoices
• Set up new billing portals as required
• Become fluent in all billing portals and relevant areas of Surepoint Technologies
• Maintain internal listing of e-billing portals, clients, usernames and passwords, and specific documentation requirements
• Provide assistance streamlining opportunities in the e-billing process
• Accounts Receivable Collections for Shareholders
• Other functions as assigned by controller and Management team

EDUCATION
- High School Diploma, relevant college course work preferred.
QUALIFICATIONS
• 3 or more years of prior billing and/or collections experience in a law firm is required
• Must be dependable with an exceptional attendance record
• Exceptional time management skills
• Prior experience in a law firm preferred
• Prior e-billing experience is strongly preferred. Familiarity with various e-billing vendors, such as Serengeti, is a plus
• Creativity and problem-solving skills
• Communication skills
• Exceptional computer skills in Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, and Outlook
• General accounting knowledge is preferred
• Ability to learn the firm’s Accounting and Billing software, Surepoint Technologies
• Successful candidate will have strong communication skills, problem solving abilities, interpersonal and organizational skills
• Familiarity with legal management billing system
• Ability to work independently and in a fast-paced environment
• Team player
• Exceptional time management skills
