Course: Dynamics of Violence, Abuse, & Addiction
This course focuses on the legal and ethical responsibilities involved when child abuse, abuse of the elderly, and domestic or family violence has been reported. Understanding the dynamics of working with cases of family violence and domestic partner abuse are explored.
What You Will Do:
- Facilitate classroom lecture and discussions
- Engage students in learning course objectives and topics
- Assess student performance and mentor success in the classroom
- Provide a positive example to students by supporting the Universitys Doctrinal Statement, Ethical Position Statement, and Mission of Grand Canyon University
What You Will Bring:
- Masters (or higher) in Professional Counseling OR
- Mental Health Counseling OR
- Addiction Counseling OR
- Clinical Psychology OR
- Marriage and Family Therapy
- AND Current Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) OR
- Current Licensed Independent Substance Abuse Counselor OR
- Current Licensed Marriage and Family Therapy Counselor
- AND 2 years of clinical experience in addictions
