Job description:AMETEK Telular is a seeking a Business Manager for our Skybitz business line. Reporting the DVP, Business Unit Manager, the Skybitz Business Manager is accountable for the P&L and manages all aspects of this business segment including Sales, Marketing, Aftermarket, and Engineering.
In this role you will partner with the Telular Leadership Team to drive the business and provide critical information to divisional and executive AMETEK leadership. Your responsibilities include:
Finance
- Creating monthly business forecast.
- Responsible for a P&L and Balance Sheet.
- Creating the businesses’ annual operating budget.
- Manage Working Capital metrics to meet forecast and budget goals.
Sales
- Meeting monthly forecast and budget order goals.
- Creating and managing Sales Incentive Plans (SIP).
- Managing global sales channel (direct/indirect).
Aftermarket/Service
- Manage a professional RMA system.
- Ensuring clients and rep/distributors service and parts requirements are being supported.
- Developing strategies to grow service and spare parts revenue.
- Developing tools, processes, and training programs to further reach/educate customer representatives and distributors, e.g., e-commerce, remote diagnostics, remote support, learning management systems, etc.
Marketing/Business Development
- Evaluating new areas/markets to expand the business.
- Developing and executing marketing plans and marketing communications.
- Managing product management team to develop new products.
- Evaluating merger & acquisition targets to fill portfolio gaps and enter new adjacent spaces.
- Developing & Executing of annual Strategic Business Plan.
Engineering/R&D
- Management of new product development and product sustainability processes and projects.
- Driving increased product vitality with new product launches.
- Ensuring business element alignment around NPD initiatives.
- Quarterly/Bi-Annual New Product Development (NPD) reviews utilizing AMETEK Business System tools.
- Optimizing processes and tools to drive efficiency within the engineering team.
Operations
In partnership with the DVP, Operations, you will:
- Meet shipment targets as defined by monthly forecast and/or annual budget.
- Management of operation’s key performance indicators.
- Responsible for creating an environment of continuous improvement and driving operational improvement plans using AMETEK Business Systems tools, e.g., Kaizen, Lean, 6S, supply chain, procurement, etc.
Leadership
- Demonstrate leadership skills by being a steward and advocate of AMETEK policies, practices, culture, philosophies, etc.
- Effectively lead and motivate employees to meet organizational goals and expectations for productivity, quality, and other goals.
- Provide effective performance feedback, recognize, reward, and implement improved performance programs when necessary. Ensure that managers are effectively using SuccessFactors tools and meeting the deadlines for performance reviews, annual merit increases, etc.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors Degree in a STEM Related field, Finance, Operations, Business Administration or other related field.
- MBA preferred.
- Previous demonstrated experience managing P&L.
- 10 years' experience in applying technology to improve industrial systems, IoT preferred.
- Effective working as part of an Executive Team and across functions
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
