We are looking for a hard-working driver that likes to work outside and takes pride in a job completed safely and efficiently to join our Seattle team.
Responsibilities Include:
- Conducts daily pre-trip and post-trip vehicle, trailer and equipment inspections and completes driver's checklist in Fleetio.
- Loads and unloads equipment in a safe manner by always utilizing the help of a second person, and ensures equipment is correctly secured on trailers.
- Practices safe driving skills in all operating conditions (including "4 second rule") following all vehicular safety regulations and consistently using spotters.
- Recognizes mechanical issues as they develop with engine, brakes and electrical systems and takes action when necessary to shut down and secure the machine to avoid additional damage; reports maintenance needed and/or any damage to their Superintendent, Foreman and Shop Foreman.
- Responsible for ensuring material is loaded safely and efficiently (ensures not overweight, no debris, etc.) and safely transports to jobsites and/or plants.
- Can follow GPS and get to job sites and to material sources in a timely manner.
- Spreads and dumps gravel efficiently; spots truck into paver and places material as directed.
- Performs non-driving, general labor duties as needed and/or directed.
- Provides materials' tickets to the Foreman daily so Foreman can complete their work.
- Maintains a clean truck to include spraying down of trailers when needed and practices good housekeeping on all equipment.
- Ensures truck is fueled each night.
- Follows all safety rules and regulations and practices preventive safety measures; wears required PPE.

Requirements:
- Must have a CDL Class A.
- Knowledge and ability to use GPS devices.
- Follows all DOT requirements and traffic regulations.
- Ability to work as part of a team.
- Ability to work weekends and occasional nights.
- Ability to travel to various worksites.
- Ability to work long hours and in all weather conditions.
