Dufur School Base Health Center (SBHC)- Certified Medical Assistant - One Community Health

As the Dufur School Base Health Center (SBHC) Certified Medical Assistant, you will provide direct patient care and support to Dufur High School students in accordance with The Oregon State SBHC Model- Oregon Health Authority : Oregon School-Based Health Centers : School-Based Health Centers : State of Oregon

General duties include patient intake and processing, assisting providers with treatments and procedures, patient instruction and patient education. You will be a communication liaison between patient, medical provider and licensed nurse. Additional duties include quality control checks, performance improvement, supply stocking, equipment sterilization, patient records management, and patient scheduling. This position is part-time, 2 days a week and located at the Dufur School.

MINIMUM REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Graduate of an accredited Medical Assisting program.
• 2 years experience as an MA
• 1 year of front desk experience in Healthcare
• Achieve Medical Assisting Certification within 6 months from date of hire.
• Current CPR certification.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Bilingual English/Spanish.
• Experience working in a medical office environment.
• Experience working with low income, multi-ethnic populations.

Compensation:

• Hourly/Non-Exempt: $22-25 per hour (DOE)
• Bilingual Differential: Additionally, we offer $0.75 per hour as compensation for bilingual proficiency in both English and Spanish.
• Weekend Differential: This position receives base hourly pay along with an extra $10.00 for each hour worked on weekends (Saturday and Sunday).
