Due Diligence Associate

Our client, a private equity firm specializing in investment across multiple industries, is seeking a Due Diligence Associate to join their team. The firm is known for its collaborative culture and commitment to value creation in its portfolio companies. This role offers the opportunity to work on a hybrid schedule in San Francisco, with in-office attendance typically on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays.

Responsibilities:

Lead and manage buy-side due diligence processes, including developing game plans, selecting advisors, and overseeing execution.
Coordinate due diligence workstreams, such as data room management, management calls, and issue resolution.
Support sell-side diligence efforts for portfolio companies alongside deal teams and advisors.
Manage relationships with third-party advisors, including scope reviews and fee negotiations.
Contribute to firm-wide initiatives, such as portfolio monitoring, macro-economic updates, and internal projects.

Requirements:

Approximately 3 years of post-undergraduate experience, ideally in Transaction Advisory Services with a focus on Financial Due Diligence.
Strong project management and multitasking abilities, with a high level of attention to detail.
Excellent quantitative skills, financial acumen, and writing capabilities.
Proven ability to thrive in fast-paced environments, with a strong work ethic and intellectual curiosity.
Team-oriented and aligned with a culture of collaboration and perseverance.

Compensation:

Determining compensation for this role (and others) at Vaco depends upon a wide array of factors including but not limited to the individual’s skill sets, experience and training, licensure and certifications, office location and other geographic considerations, as well as other business and organizational needs. With that said, as required by local law, Vaco believes that the following salary range reasonably estimates the base compensation for an individual hired into this position in geographies that require salary range disclosure: $130K - $150K per year.
