Job Details
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Drywall Estimator to join our team. The primary role of the Drywall Estimator is to assess construction projects, determine project requirements, and accurately estimate the costs associated with time, labor, and materials. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mathematics, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with various teams including contractors, engineers, and architects.
Responsibilities:
- Read and analyze blueprints and other technical documents to prepare time, cost, materials, and labor estimates.
- Assess cost-effectiveness and offer cost-saving solutions.
- Collaborate with contractors, engineers, and architects to ensure accuracy of estimates.
- Present estimates to clients in a professional and timely manner.
- Maintain comprehensive records of all project documentation, including estimates, sales receipts, and project completion documents.
- Assist the sales team in final project preparations and transactions.
- Act as the final authority in the calculation, analysis, and adjustment of estimates.
- Fulfill client appointments promptly and manage time effectively.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a drywall estimator or similar role.
- Strong understanding of construction processes and drywall installation.
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field preferred; background in mathematics is required.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Strong critical thinking, analytical, and organizational skills.
- Ability to operate independently or as part of a team.
- Voluntary certification in the field is a plus.
- Previous on-the-job training is highly advantageous.
