Position: Drywall Estimator

We are seeking a talented and experienced Drywall Estimator to join our team. The ideal candidate will bring at least 3 years of experience with a drywall company, coupled with a thorough understanding of construction processes, materials, and labor requirements. Your primary role will involve creating precise cost estimates, analyzing blueprints, conducting site evaluations, and collaborating with project managers and clients to deliver competitive and comprehensive bids.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze blueprints, specifications, and project documentation to estimate materials, labor, and equipment needs accurately.
• Conduct on-site evaluations to determine project scope, site conditions, and potential challenges.
• Collaborate with project managers, architects, contractors, and clients to clarify project requirements.
• Leverage estimating software and tools to produce detailed and accurate cost projections.
• Prepare itemized bid proposals, outlining costs, timelines, and project deliverables.
• Stay updated on industry trends, material costs, and labor rates to ensure competitive pricing.
• Review and negotiate contracts, change orders, and related documents.
• Provide support to project teams by addressing cost-related inquiries and resolving specification issues.
• Monitor project budgets and progress, identifying potential cost savings or overruns.
• Coordinate with procurement and supply chain teams to source materials and subcontractors efficiently.
• Participate in pre-bid meetings, site visits, and client presentations as needed.
• Maintain organized records of estimates, bids, and project documents for future reference and analysis.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering, or a related field (preferred).
• Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Drywall Estimator, specializing in drywall installations.
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting construction blueprints, specifications, and technical documents.
• Strong analytical skills for accurately quantifying materials, labor, and equipment needs.
• Extensive knowledge of drywall construction methods, materials, and relevant building codes.
• Experience with estimating software like Bluebeam, PlanSwift, or On-Screen Takeoff.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with diverse teams and clients.
• Detail-oriented with a commitment to producing accurate and thorough cost estimates.
• Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong negotiation skills to review and manage contracts and change orders.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and other relevant software tools.
• Valid driver’s license with the flexibility to travel to project sites as needed.
