What this role is all about:
We are looking for a Dry Packaging Operator I in Jerome, ID. The Dry Packaging Operator I is responsible for the packaging of product while following safety and quality requirements.
- Starting pay $19.03
- $1.50 shift premium for night shift
- Double-time on Sunday’s
- Thursday -Saturday every other Sunday 5PM-5AM
- Place bags/totes on pallets.
- Fill bags/totes and ensure proper labeling.
- Seal bags/totes.
- Sustain and support automated systems.
- Clean and sanitize all parts of packaging department including walls, floors, and equipment.
What you need:
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- Ability to read, understand, and adhere to documents and procedures (GLP, SOP, SDS, GMP, test procedures, and HACCP).
- Ability to follow written, verbal and diagrammatic instructions; complete simple checklists and complete required documentation.
- Decisions administered soundly and consistently with policies and in compliance with appropriate laws and regulations.
- Demonstrate functional and technical knowledge, ability to learn new skills quickly, and achieve a high level of accomplishment.
Where you’ll be working:
Our Jerome, ID, plant is home to approximately 400 employees and processes approximately 7 million pounds of milk per day. This facility produces various types of cheeses, such as; mozzarella, cheddar, provolone, muenster, parmesan, romano, Monterey jack, gouda, and asiago. They also run various whey streams, such as; deproteinized whey, sweet dairy whey, GMP, permeate, instantized, and our top-rated BiPro products.
