Job Summary/Company: Sparks Group has partnered with a tri-jurisdictional agency seeking a compliance manager for their internal drug and alcohol testing program. If you bring experience in a medical testing environment, have knowledge on federal testing regulations, and are an effective leader and communicator, apply now!
This position typically works standard business hours, however must be reachable after hours to provide guidance and resolve issues as needed.
Position is primarily in Hyattsville, MD location, but may require days supporting at the testing site in DC.

Responsibilities:
- Lead the drug and alcohol testing team for the occupational health office, ensuring proper coverage and compliance
- Make recommendations and implement processes to ensure compliance with federal regulations, safety standard, and best practices
- Maintain security of testing sites, specimens, and documents, ensuring high level of confidentiality
- Provide guidance to staff at all levels regarding proper execution of testing procedures
- Ability to identify discrepancies and follow up with team members to resolve issues
- Work with supporting departments to ensure highest level of confidentiality and accuracy
- Provide subject matter expertise for legal or other employment-related proceedings
- Support with collections process as needed
- Support with implementation or updating of resources
Qualifications/Background Profile:
- Bachelor's degree preferred
- Min 3 years in a medical testing environment
- Knowledge on drug and alcohol compliance regulations
- Proficient with MS Office
- Ability to respond and be available during evening/weekends to address issues from the team as needed
