- Night shift: Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday, possible Wednesdays for Shuttle Route; 4:30pm-6pm start time, 10-12 hour days

Position Overview:
Incumbent is responsible for transporting and delivering freight to franchise stores and/or production kitchens safely, legally and on-time. This position requires working in environments with variation in temperature and humidity (e.g., dry, cooler and freezer areas of the trailer, along with changing outdoor weather conditions.)

Responsibilities
Under supervision of a Class A Driver, Lead, safely operates a tractor trailer truck that transports product to and from specified destinations. Conduct a proper pre-trip inspection to ensure the vehicle is safe to operate.Ensures delivery-related paperwork is in order before departing the Distribution Center or transportation hub.Prepares, receives and provides appropriate documentation for the delivery of products.Unloads frozen, refrigerated, dry and cleaning products into Dunkin’ and Baskin Robins stores and production kitchens via a two-wheeler hand truck and/or pallet jack in a safe manner into store locations. Scans all product labels during store deliveries and reports all orders with shorts or damages.Maintains proper logs of travel and product according to Federal, State and DOT regulations.Maintains contact with Member Services / applicable operations transportation personnel to communicate any delivery problems or delays.Ensures the cleanliness and presentation of the interior of the truck cab, as well as the removal of delivery-related trash at the store and production kitchen (i.e., shrink wrap, cardboard, crates and pallets).Conducts a proper post-trip inspection to ensure equipment is in good working order to minimize delays the following day. Timely reports any vehicle maintenance or malfunction issues to the appropriate Transportation Supervisor.Utilizes a high level of customer service in serving as the primary NDCP point of contact between the Distribution Center and the customer.Leverages a Driver Assistant, as applicable, to ensure the accurate, timely and efficient delivery of product to customer, as well as to assist in the safe maneuvering of the truck entering, exiting and parking at delivery locations. Qualifications
High School Diploma or equivalent experience requiredCurrent Class A CDL and Medical card requiredLess than six (6) months of Class A CDL driving experience. Experience driving in the food industry is highly preferredClean motor vehicle record (MVR) in accordance with NDCP’s hiring requirementsAbility and willingness to operate a manual and automatic transmission tractorAbility to safely operate a refrigeration unit and a lift gateAbility to lift 55 lbs.On Board Computer/Electronic Log System experience preferredAbility to read a map and/or follow written directions to navigate assigned routes efficiently and safelyKnowledge of DOT regulations and Commercial Motor Vehicle requirementsExcellent interpersonal skills and exceptional customer service mentalityAbility to work effectively in an individual and team environmentEffective decision-making skills and sound judgementAbility and willingness to work varying work schedules, as needed, to support NDCP’s operations
