*Part-Time schedule consists of 2-8 hour days on Wednesday and Friday.
JOB SUMMARY
The Vendor Managed Inventory (VMI) Specialist provides supplemental on-site service support in the areas of conversions, ordering stock, putting orders away, handling of service & equipment, and expediting special product or service situations.
This position is part time, 2 days a week, approximately 25 hours a week (Wednesday and every other Friday).
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Other duties as assigned.
- Maintains high customer satisfaction ratings that meet company standards.
- Unpacks orders, checks accuracy of shipment, and put stock away.
- Ensure bins have appropriate customer stock levels, generates new orders for merchandise where appropriate, obtains customer’s pre-approval to place orders when required, and submits orders.
- Processes return merchandise authorizations as needed.
- Performs general housekeeping of service equipment and immediate area to supplement the Company’s value package.
- Utilizes company technology to complete daily tasks, order generation, tracking, routing as defined by the company.

Requirements
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
- Minimum of high school diploma/GED or equivalent.
- Vendor managed service experience (2-3 years) preferred.
- Technical product knowledge preferred - relevant to the markets being served, including but not limited to fasteners, industrial maintenance supplies, electrical, manufacturing, etc.
- Microsoft Suite including Outlook, Excel.
SKILLS AND REQUIREMENTS:

- Must be able to report to assigned office location during scheduled workdays.
- Must have reliable transportation.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- Must be computer, email literate and have the ability to acclimate to PC based order entry system and wireless, handheld scanners.
- Excellent organization and time management skills.
- Ability to multi-task.
- Must exhibit basic math skills.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
While performing the duties of this job the employee is often required to stand, sit, use computers, read, write, type, use copy machines, file paperwork, use telephones, and utilize written and oral communication to interact with clients, co-workers, and customers. Position is not substantially exposed to adverse environmental conditions (such as in typical office or administrative work.)
