Overview:We have a full-time opportunity for a Lot Porter/Service Driver to join our team. This role is responsible for picking up and delivering customer vehicles, road testing and maintaining an orderly lot with a heavy emphasis on clean up.
Responsibilities:- Greet customers as they enter the facility and offer stand-out customer service.
- Strategize the best place to move the Vehicle to ensure uninterrupted traffic flow. Move other vehicles accordingly.
- Keep the lot neat and orderly, moving equipment as directed.
- Inspect equipment for grease spots, stains, or debris that might have been left behind during repair, and clean as needed.
- Help Maintenance team with lot and building maintenance.
- Safely and effectively use equipment; maintain a consistent state of alertness; perform work in compliance with all company safety policies and procedures, and local, state, and federal regulations.
- Complete other miscellaneous tasks as directed by supervisor.
- Pick-up and deliver customer trucks, pre and post repair.
- Answer customers’ questions about completed service if needed and know the best resources for the customer regarding questions you can’t answer.
- Inspect each truck for damage that may have occurred on TEC property. Notify management immediately if damage is discovered.
- Inspect New Trucks that arrive from the Manufacturer and complete inspection forms.
- Fuel New Trucks
- New Truck Lot management – start trucks and keep trucks clean.
- Professional demeanor and customer-service oriented.
- Ability to communicate in and comprehend English.
- Ability to lift up to 50lbs without assistance.
- Valid driver’s license and ability to be insured by our auto insurance policy.
- Valid CDL B preferred to help fill in on customer pickups and deliveries as needed.
- 2+ Years’ experience operating class 8 trucks.
- Strong organizational and time management skills; ability to read and interpret electronic and paper maps.
- Ability to work independently, prioritize both independently and collaboratively, and use sound judgment in a changing environment.
- Ability to maintain predictable and reliable attendance and work in a sage and alert manner.
