JOB SUMMARY: 

This position drives Rollback or Lowboy to branch/customer locations for pickups, deliveries, and branch transfers of Ohio Machinery Co. construction equipment. The Driver will properly and safely load and unload equipment on and off the delivery vehicle, provide basic instructions to the customer on operating equipment, complete general duties around the yard, and check equipment for damages. The Driver will also complete inspection reports and logbook. It is expected of the Driver to maintain a safe driving record always.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

• A clean (less than 4 points) driving record.
• Class “A” CDL license and a current Medical Certification Card (acquired by the time of appointment) are required.
• A High School diploma or equivalent is required.
• Prior truck-trailer combination driving experience and an in-depth understanding of special restrictions/laws/regulations of the transportation industry are required.
• Experience in safe operation of 7 axle set-up and oversized loads required.
• Ability to maintain a professional image and behavior.
• Ability to provide superior customer service.
• Knowledge of electronic logbooks is required.
• General knowledge of construction equipment, maintenance, and operation is desired.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

Some lifting, pulling, and pushing up to 50lbs; Climbing on and off a delivery vehicle as well as on and off equipment; The noise level in the work environment is usually quiet in office settings and moderate to loud in other situations, with both constant and sudden loud noises possible.
