GPI is looking for a Drainage Engineer to join our Rochester, NY team. This role involves coordinating with various disciplines, managing scope, budget, and schedules from project initiation to closeout, and overseeing specific design elements relevant to the discipline.

Responsibilities:
- Conduct floodplain and HEC-RAS modeling
- Analyze watersheds/drainage areas and perform hydrologic and hydraulic computations for drainage systems
- Assist in preparing reports, construction plans, and project designs
- Deliver project discipline scope elements and help prepare cost estimates
Qualifications:
- BS in Engineering or related field
- 3+ years of experience in hydrologic and hydraulic computations
- Experience in culvert sizing
- Proficient in hydrologic/hydraulic software (e.g., HydroCAD, StormCAD, HEC-RAS, HEC-HMS)
- Familiarity with NY Stormwater BMPs and LOMA/LOMR/CLOMR permitting preferred
- EIT or PE license preferred
Requirements:
- Valid driver's license with a clean MVR
- Ability to read, write, and understand English plans and directions
- Basic computer skills (Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, SharePoint, Teams)
- Ability to wear required PPE (hard hats, safety vests, etc.)
