United Security Services, Inc., a national security company, which specializes in hospitality and customer service, is seeking a professional full-time Security Officer to provide security services at Downtown Summerlin or the Las Vegas Ballpark. Requirements:
â–ª Exceptional customer service skills and excellent judgement.
â–ª Excellent communication/interpersonal skills.
â–ª Ability to write professional security reports.
â–ª Possess, or can acquire by time of employment, a State of Nevada PILB Security Work Card.
â–ª Availability/flexibility to work any day, including weekends and holidays, and any work shift based on operational needs. Preferred:
â–ª At least 2 years of hospitality security experience.
â–ª Ability to learn new security software applications.
â–ª Possess a working knowledge of the hospitality industry and the related nomenclature.
The starting hourly wage for this position is $18.00.
Afternoon/Swing availability is required 3pm PST- 11PM PST

Security Officers (includes all deployments, i.e., DTS, 1 Summerlin, 2 Summerlin, 1700 Pavilion and Ballpark):
â–ª Conduct recurring reactive and proactive security patrols using vehicles, bicycles and foot patrols
â–ª Monitor all interior and exterior areas throughout DTS
â–ª Provide prompt and professional assistance for all DTS guests, visitors and staff
â–ª Provide the highest level of customer service to address any questions or concerns from all guests and employees in and around DTS
â–ª Promptly address all DTS visitor and guest concerns and questions through "proactive customer service techniques"
â–ª Observe and promptly report all security related and/or suspicious activities to Dispatch and security shift supervisor
â–ª Remain highly visible while conducting regular, frequent and random security patrols and/or surveillances
â–ª Record all security patrols through the electronic Touring System by scanning the RFID buttons located throughout DTS using the designated handheld device
â–ª Ensure all unauthorized access points and doors throughout DTS are secured
â–ª Ensure there are no trespassers or other unauthorized subjects in and around DTS
â–ª Check for any safety hazards and report hazards promptly to Dispatch and appropriate DTS management staff
â–ª Ensure there is no unacceptable behavior on the part of guests in and around DTS
â–ª Conduct perimeter checks as needed to check for any open/propped doors/gates or other security gaps or breaches
â–ª Serve as a medical first responder during all medical emergencies occurring in and around DTS
â–ª Respond to and handle any other task deemed necessary by a security supervisor or DTS staff
â–ª Thoroughly investigate and document all important facts during incident investigation and reporting (completion of Incident Reports for all security incidents)
â–ª Report potential security or equipment related problems promptly to the shift supervisor
