JOB SUMMARY / PURPOSE
Coordinates relationships with Foundation donors including gift prospects below $10,000, donor acquisition, donor recognition, ongoing communication and e-fundraising strategies. The primary emphasis of the Donor Relations Coordinator will be to maximize cultivation, stewardship, and recognition of donors and prospects in meaningful ways that will strengthen and build relationships and goodwill toward the Foundation and Trinity Health System, primary focus, but not limited to Belmont County. The Donor Relations Coordinator serves as the back-up to the Foundation Director when necessary.
ESSENTIAL KEY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Responsible for all aspects of new entry level donor acquisition campaigns including Annual Giving, Grateful Patient, Tribute Giving and others as they are developed.
- Personally develops and manages a portfolio of prospective donors, ensuring consistent and appropriate contact to ensure effective stewardship.
- Works with Foundation Coordinator to maintain donor records in DREAM and in paper files, including monthly pledge reminders, tribute acknowledgments and reports, donor lists for recognition, donor club listings, gift entry, record updates, annual tax statements, event/mailing lists, statistical and financial reports as needed.
- Analyzes the donor base to determine segmentation breakdown and designs the most effective plan of action to achieve stated goals.
- Maintains recognition to demonstrate hospital appreciation and provide positive encouragement to donors. Includes management of all donor walls.
- Manages the Foundation’s web-based marketing tools, including website updates, social networking sites and monthly e-news creation and distribution.
- Assists in all aspects of the employee giving campaign, including creation and implantation of a solicitation plan, support of the committee, and bi-weekly presentations at New Associate Orientation.
JOB DESCRIPTION
- Gains comprehensive understanding of the priorities of THS activities, services and programs.
- Shares responsibility of prospect identification, research and evaluation.
- Works with the Foundation Coordinator to maintain an effective system of budget control including expense reporting and reconciliation, invoicing, check requests and all other duties related to accounting.
- Works with Foundation team to develop a long-range plan that fits with THS’s core strategies.
- Develop and execute an annual fundraising event in Belmont County with the assistance of the entire Foundation Staff.
- Assists with department events as needed.
- Serves as back up to Foundation Director when necessary.
- Explores and participates in networking opportunities to increase the presence of the THS Foundation in the community.
- Encourages and maintains a standard of warmth, friendliness and prompt attention to all volunteers, donors and others.
- Continually seeks avenues to enhance professional growth and development.
- Maintains strict standard of confidentiality regarding donor and patient information.
